We emphasize that research on its own is insufficient to achieve conservation and there is a need for effective dialogue between researchers and policy makers. Science-based information has yet to be incorporated into national biodiversity policies and therefore has contributed relatively little to the management and conservation of wildlife populations. If we really want to preserve wildlife, conservationists worldwide must expand their work in universities and research institutions to include policy and practical conservation work. Therefore, all our results are presented to stake holders and to government agencies, in an attempt to influence the decision making process, and trying to apply the research to conservation activities. In addition, we also engage in education campaigns, continuous wildlife monitoring, coordination and design of species-specific state action plans, and media outreach. Without everybody’s contribution, conservation of wildlife and its habitat will not be possible.
